Glossary Term
Internal Linking
Last updated:
Quick definition: Internal linking is the practice of linking between pages on your own website.
What it means
Internal links pass authority (PageRank) from one page to another and tell Google which pages are most important.
A strong internal linking strategy uses descriptive anchor text, links from high-authority pages to important commercial pages, and avoids orphan pages with no inbound internal links.
Why it matters for real estate SEO
Most real estate sites under-link internally, leaving service pages with weak internal authority. Adding 3-5 contextual internal links to money pages can help those pages rank.
