Crawl Budget
Last updated:
Quick definition: Crawl budget is the number of pages Googlebot will fetch from your site within a given period.
What it means
Crawl budget is allocated based on site authority and crawl health. Large sites with thousands of low-value pages exhaust their budget before Googlebot reaches important pages.
For real estate sites, IDX listing pages, faceted search URLs, and tag archives are the worst crawl-budget drains.
Why it matters for real estate SEO
Large real estate sites with poor crawl budget management often have high-value money pages stuck unindexed for months. Robots.txt rules and noindex tags fix this.
