    Silo Structure

    Last updated:

Quick definition: A silo structure organises a website into thematic clusters where related pages link to each other and to a hub page, signalling topical authority to search engines.

    What it means

In a silo, a top-level pillar page (e.g., "Local SEO for Real Estate") links down to supporting articles, and those articles link back to the pillar and laterally to siblings.

This structure concentrates internal link equity around a defined topic and helps Google understand which pages are the canonical authority for each subject area.

Why it matters for real estate SEO

Real estate agents who silo content by city, neighbourhood, and property type rank significantly better than those publishing isolated blog posts. A clean silo also makes the site easier to maintain as content scales.
